You could argue that women’s sports has come a long way in recent years. But in the game of basketball, one court remained claimed by men: the park. You’ve probably seen the videos of women and girls being turned away at park courts because the guys don’t take them seriously and refuse to share space. And in the age of icons like Sabrina Ionescu, we thought that was total bullshit.
So we decided to do something about it. We started a movement to add the WNBA 3-point line to park courts across the country–a celebration of the women who built this game and an invitation for future legends to push it forward.
See you at the park.
